Which social media works best in entrepreneurship?

Posted on Posted in Social media marketing

There are many businesses that failed using social media because they used them only for branding their business but not for interacting with customers, clients. I think among businesses, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook are the most used ones. Among young people, Instagram and Snapchat are quite popular at the moment, says Casper Ravn-Sørensen.

So in order to get people to know your brand and to expand your range of customers, you should create a blog. Then, you should make a Facebook page or profile and, of course LinkedIn profile, where you could share your thoughts and ideas to get people to follow you.

Well, sounds familiar, and sounds like everyone is already doing it.

But it’s kind of old school, don’t you think?

If you are a young person in your twenties, you consider your Snapchat profile as a place where you can make contact with your friends and basically, have fun. No one would even assume that it would become “the new platform for business” that it is now.

But it is real.

Snapchat has become the freshest platform for branding yourself and your idea in public. Let’s face it, LinkedIn is still the most professional site, but sometimes it is too serious. Even if you are a young entrepreneur enrolled in various businesses and ideas, if you are hanging with all the business people, you need a platform to show who you really are. And it is 2017 now. People love when other people show themselves, their real selves.

Snapchat is the place to do that.

There are many entrepreneurs that already have snapchat profiles and you could learn a lot from them. All from marketing tips and tricks, content writing, video making to behind the scenes of various business meetings.

Why is snapchat so worthwhile?

  1. It is up-to-date. The thing you are posting is happening right now. It’s fresh, hot and people are going to love it. Of course it depends on how you will present yourself.
  2. It’s fast. World nowadays is accelerating as we speak. All social media is getting new ideas for how to be “in the moment” and “instant”, and Snapchat is the platform that is made in that style right from the start. And let’s face it, it’s the best in it. At least for now.
  3. It has the possibility to provide a “teaser” to what is going on behind the scenes. For example, if you are a young entrepreneur working on a new project or an idea, you could give your followers some interesting part or a process and in that way, make them want more. In that way, you can make your product desirable before even putting it out in the market.
  4. And last, but certainly not the least. In this way, with a little help from Snapchat, you are giving the insight to your personal happenings and your own, specific value. You cannot measure it with plain Linkedin posts or blogs, because it is live and it is true.
